General Meeting Wednesday July 22^nd, 2020

7:00PM on Zoom!

We will begin this month’s General Meeting at 7:00PM. Please write it on your calendars!  This month’s and next month’s meeting we will be giving candidates one last opportunity to reach out to Democrats and other interested voters in the Kendall area. On the 22^nd of July we will have:

Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, Candidate for Mayor of Miami-Dade County (she will speak at 7:00, so be on time!)

Marisol Zenteno, Candidate for Property Appraiser

Robert Asencio, Candidate for County Commissioner District 11

Cindy Lerner, Candidate for County Commissioner District 7

Danielle Cohen Higgins, Candidate for County Commissioner District 8

Nancy Lawther, Candidate for School Board District 9

Candidates looking for help!

Nancy Lawther is looking for volunteers for a literature drop in the Falls this weekend. That’s getting her campaign pamphlets and information out.

Franccesca Cesti-Browne (State House 115) is planning a Miami-Dade Dems Day Of Action on Saturday, July 25^th, from 11am to 2 pm! This is a virtual Phone Banking event. For information go to: https://www.mobilize.us/franccescaforflorida/event/286775/

Post Cards:

Many of my Golden Democrats are volunteering again for more post card writing!  Help them out and volunteer for a packet! We are now working on our last 2 precincts for Vote By Mail and Get Out The Vote post card campaign.  Due to limited time the post cards are pre-printed and need addresses and postage. You can sign up directly by emailing: [email protected] , [email protected],  or sign up at Kendalldemocrats.org/volunteers.

Phone Banking:

All our phone banking is being done through Miami-Dade Dems.  Please sign up! They have events set up for every Saturday and Wednesday.  You do not need to sign up only for Kendall Democrats groups, you may join any group.  Go to Miamidadedems.org/events to sign up.  Let me know if you are doing the Phone Banking so I can thank you personally!

Door Hanger Campaign:

We’ve ordered the materials and are planning our areas to canvass. We just need the volunteers!  This will be a no contact project. This will begin in the last week of July for preparing the bags and then hanging them on doors in the first 2 weeks of August.  Sign up by emailing: [email protected]. Let us know if you are willing to stuff bags, drive, and or hang bags on doors.
